Key Features
HINCOL CRMB is based on unique technology that enables homogeneity, stability and consistent properties of binder throughout the supply chain. To achieve this, special stabilising additives are used and a special manufacturing process is adopted and the result is a high performance bituminous binder with unique properties that are consistent. HINCOL CRMB 55 is ideally suited for moderate climates. It enhances the key properties of asphalt mixes, i.e. deformation resistance and fatigue life. These improvements are the result of three vital physical changes which the polymer makes in the conventional binder structure: reduced temperature susceptibility, increased stiffness modulus and enhanced elasticity.
Advantages
Applications:
Surface dressing
Wearing course
Stress absorbing membranes (crack sealing)
Stress absorbing membrane interlayer
Base course
Thin overlays
Advantages:
Advantages of CRMB 55 over conventional bitumen
Lower susceptibility to daily and seasonal temperature variations
Higher resistance to deformation at elevated pavement temperatures
Better adhesion between aggregate and binder
Higher fatigue life
Delayed cracking and reflective cracking
Overall improved performance in extreme climatic conditions and under heavy traffic conditions
Better water resistance
Higher resistance to rutting
Resistance to creep and higher indirect tensile strength
